Most of my professional career has been spent in rural locations. The projects shown here are a collection of residential, commercial and winery projects from a span of over 20 years. I am influenced by the utilitarian structures that are part of our rural landscape. I find beauty in the old grain elevators and silos, barns, saw mills and mining operations and, most recently, the abandon sugarcane processing plants of Puerto Rico. The simplicity and no-nonsense approach to these buildings leads to honesty in form and materials and, pure function through necessity.
The second part of this site is my gallery. A collage of sketches, paintings, prints, images that I’ve created or that have inspired me over the decades.
